Permissions for the BMD client

For the BMD client to run correctly with normal user rights, the following rights have to be granted via the workstation.


1. BMD NTCS

Go to the directory “C:\ProgramData\”. Then, right-click on the folder “BMD NTCS” and grant the right to “Change” in the tab “Security” for the group “Users”.

This ensures that the automatic synchronisation after a BMD NTCS update on the server can be performed correctly. All files required by the application will be saved to this directory.


2. BMD NetSpeed

Go to to the directory “C:\ProgramData\BMDClients”. Then, right-click on the folder of the NetSpeed client and grant the right to “Change” in the tab “Security” for the group “Users”.

This ensures that the automatic synchronisation after a BMD 5.5 update on the server can be performed correctly. All files required by the application will be saved to this directory.
