The BMD SYSTEMHAUS GesmbH was founded in 1972 and has since been developing first-class business software for companies, tax accountants, auditors and other industries, such as the building sector, food production or retail and wholesale. Currently BMD has more than 600 professional and dedicated employees.
The headquarters of BMD is located in Steyr (Austria) with further national and international offices in Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria. The BMD business software is available in different languages. Naturally, our software products are regularly adjusted to the current legislation of the respective country.

Our aim at BMD is to design processes to be as efficient as possible in order to make the day-to-day tasks of our customers easier and help them save resources and costs. You will often hear the term “NTCS” used in connection with the BMD software. But what is BMD NCTS? The tried-and-tested standard software BMD NTCS („New Technology Commercial Software“) is our key product which is based on a holistic data model and can be adjusted to companies of different sizes thanks to a variety of parameter settings. From individual entrepreneurs to small and medium-sized businesses through to big organizations: You decide which modules you want to use and whether you want to run the BMD business software on your own hardware or using the flexible BMD Cloud services.
All BMD programs and features offer a uniform user experience, are easy to use and include access to our comprehensive online help. We support you at all levels, from conceptual design, project management and introduction of the software solution that is best suited for you through to support and further training concerning specialist knowledge and use of the software.
Along with software development, we focus on offering a flexible and comprehensive set of services. In order to provide our customers with maximum support, BMD offers a complete range of services from one source. This starts with the introduction and implementation of the software by our IPMA-certified project managers and not only includes individual support services but also long-term support for digitalization processes.
Upon request, BMD also provides you with an optimized hardware and system solution of any size for running the software. Further core activities of the IT experts at BMD are cross-platform system integration as well as integrating internet and intranet and establishing individual communication solutions. Of course, all hard- and software systems purchased from BMD will be maintained and, if required, repaired. This is what makes BMD a full-service provider or a “system house”, as one might say.
As we aim to offer the best possible support, the users of our software not only have the option to contact our support hotline but can also benefit from more than 400 training videos which they can access at any time.
Furthermore, BMD shares its expertise of many years in numerous courses and trainings at the BMD Academy. Every year, more than 10,000 participants attend the BMD Academy in order to update and expand their knowledge. Our offer is comprised of both workshops with attendance in some of our offices and online workshops on current legal subjects, expert panels and trainings in specific areas of the BMD software.
In all of our activities, we focus on making sure that the developed products are useful, up to date, secure and of high quality.
