BMD: New remote maintenance tool “LogMeIn Rescue”

We would like to inform you about an important change regarding our remote maintenance service.

With version 2026.29.01, our current tool “GoToAssist” will be replaced with “LogMeIn Rescue”.

 

Below is an overview of the most important information:

  • We will provide LogMeIn Rescue with BMD NTCS version 2026.29.01.
     
  • You do not need to install it manually. The software will be updated in the background and will not affect your work.
     
  • The new tool will automatically be deployed via the BMDNetClient with version 29.01.
     
  • Older versions (28.01 and later) will receive the new tool with a future patch (web update).
     
  • In the course of the update, a small application will be installed. An entry will be created in the Control Panel under Programs and Features called “BMDSystemhaus Remote Support“:
  • Furthermore, a Windows Start menu item will be created:
  • When starting the remote maintenance in BMD NTCS, the following window will open in the future. You will still receive the PIN code from the BMD support team.
  • We would like to point out that, of course, this tool does not permit any unattended remote maintenance! Establishing a connection always requires entering a code and your subsequent approval.
     
  • Alternatively, you can also start the remote maintenance via https://help.bmd.at.

If starting LogMeIn Rescue is blocked e.g. due to your firewall settings, you can find information on exceptions on this site.
