This technical documentation illustrates how to change your password in the ASP environment (BMD Cloud).
PLEASE NOTE!
This password is not the password that you use to log in to your computer!
RECOMMENDATION!
If you need to change the local password on your computer, you should also change the password for your BMD ASP environment (BMD Cloud).
Password guidelines:
The new password must comply with the following guidelines:
Please note that after changing your ASP password, you may still need to check or adjust the following settings. The new password must be stored for the program parts or features you use.
Once you have saved the password in the ASP session in your BMD NetSpeed client, you also have to change and save the password in the client as well.
In BMD NTCS, you now have to change the password in the synchronisation login details, if required in the BMD 5.5 login details and in the e-mail parameters for SMTP.
2.3.1. BMD 5.5 login details
In BMD NTCS under Tools → Login details → BMD 5.5 login details → Password
Enter the password for your user here.
2.3.2. Synchronisation login details
In BMD NTCS under Tools → Login details → Synchronisation login details → Password
2.3.3 E-Mail parameters
In BMD NTCS under Tools → Login details → E-mail system diagnosis → User-specific e-mail parameters → SMTP password
Enter the new password here as well.
In case you are also using BMD 5.5 in your ASP environment, you also need to adapt or change the SMTP password.
In BMD 5.5 → F12 (program settings) → EMAIL → SMTP password
If you have activated e-mail (Exchange) synchronisation on your phone/tablet, you also need to change the password in your account settings.
Please note that depending on the manufacturer and the operating system (Android, IOS), it can vary where to find these settings.
If you are using the BMD Mobile app, you also have to change the password there.
Now enter your new password.
Please check on your local computer whether you have connected a network drive to the BMD Cloud and saved the password there. If not, please disconnect and reconnect the drive with your new password.
Also check on your local computer whether an old password is stored in your saved login details.
